Why the prices vary

Readers set their own prices within transparent brackets. A reader with 20 years of experience and a long waiting list charges more than someone newer to professional practice. Both are listed openly · the price is on the profile, alongside the bio and the reviews.

Pricing isn't a sign of quality on its own. Some of the most-loved readers on BookTarot are mid-priced. Read the bio. Read the reviews. The right reader for you is usually obvious once you start reading.

What the price includes

The full session at the duration you booked. A secure video room. Chat and screen-share for the reader to use as needed. A short summary of the session in your account. The recording (optional) for 30 days. Customer support if anything goes wrong.

What it doesn't

We don't sell add-ons during the session · no curse removal, no spell work, no 'unblocking' upsells. If a reader tries to introduce extra paid services mid-session, that's an ethics violation and we want to know. Report it from the post-session screen.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancel more than 24 hours before your session for a full refund. Within 24 hours, the session is non-refundable except in documented emergencies (illness, bereavement, travel disruption). If your session was bad on the reader's part · the connection was poor, the reader didn't show up, the reading was outside what was booked · contact support within 48 hours for a refund or a session credit.

Gift sessions

Sessions can be gifted. Choose a denomination at /gift and we'll send the recipient a code redeemable against any reader's session. Gifts don't expire for two years.

For readers · what we take

BookTarot takes 40 percent of every session. That number is openly disclosed and never changes with volume. A reader doing five sessions a month and a reader doing fifty get the same deal. Payouts are made weekly in the reader's local currency.

The 40 percent covers identity verification, payment processing, video infrastructure, customer support, marketing, dispute resolution, and the engineering and design that keeps the platform working. Readers keep 60 percent of every session they do.
