How much you get

60 percent of every session. The remaining 40 percent is BookTarot's platform fee.

When payouts happen

Weekly. Every Tuesday, we calculate what you earned over the previous Monday-Sunday week. The payout lands in your bank account 2-5 business days later, depending on your country.

Currency

Payouts are made in your local currency. We handle the FX conversion between the currency the client paid in and the currency you receive. The rate is the daily ECB rate; the spread is included in our 40 percent.

Taxes

We don't withhold income tax on your behalf · that's between you and your local tax authority. We do collect and remit applicable VAT/GST/sales tax on the client side at checkout, so the gross payment that came in is what you split with us.

We issue an annual statement for your records. In the UK, that's a Self Assessment-ready summary. In the US, that's a 1099-K for US-based readers earning above the IRS threshold. Other countries get a comparable document.

Stripe Connect

Payouts run through Stripe Connect. You set up the Connect account once during onboarding. Stripe handles bank verification, KYC, and the regulatory reporting. We don't see your bank account number; Stripe does.

Holds and reserves

For the first 60 days after going live, Stripe may hold a portion of new payouts as a reserve against chargebacks. This is standard for any new merchant on Stripe. After 60 days of clean activity, the reserve releases.

If a payout fails

The most common cause is a bank-account mismatch. Stripe will email you and the funds stay in your balance until you update the account. We get a copy of the email and our reader-support team can help.
