What happens after you apply to read
From application to live profile, step by step.

Day zero · application submitted
You finish the application form. Stripe Identity verification runs in parallel. We send you a confirmation email with a tracking link.
Day 1-3 · initial review
A member of the BookTarot reader team reads your application. We check the basics: are you 18+, in a country we operate in, with a coherent practice. About 70 percent of applications pass this stage.
Day 3-7 · sample reading review
If you pass initial review, we ask for your three sample readings (recorded with client consent). You upload them via a private link. The panel · two senior readers and a member of the BookTarot team · watches them. We're looking for ethical framing, how you hold space, and whether you can stay reflective rather than predictive.
Day 7-14 · interview
If sample readings pass, we book a 30-minute video interview. We talk about your practice, the kinds of clients you read for, how you handle hard sessions, your ethics around mediumship and prediction. This is a conversation, not an interrogation.
Day 14-21 · decision
We come back to you with a decision. If accepted, you get a Stripe Connect onboarding link, an ethics-code countersign step, and a profile builder. About 30 percent of applicants who reach the interview are accepted on the first attempt.
Day 21-23 · profile setup
Build your profile: bio, photo, deck list, specialties, reading types and prices, availability. Sync your calendar. Set your timezone. Add an optional intro video.
Day 23-24 · go live
We review the profile. If it's solid, you're live. First bookings usually arrive within a few days.
If you're not accepted
We send a specific note on why, where possible. Most non-acceptances come down to ethics framing or sample reading quality. You can reapply after six months.
